Ricardo Energy & Environment is a global sustainability consultancy. They help their clients solve some of the world’s most complex environmental challenges and provide governments, public agencies and businesses with leading analysis, advice and data.

They are now seeking a Laboratory Science Apprentice to join their team in Wantage.

As a Laboratory Apprentice you will learn the key aspects of laboratory work through a combination of on the job training and more formal study.

Duties will include:

  • Working alongside colleagues in the Particle Measurement Centre and providing support for off-site experimental work.
  • You will be trained to follow documented procedures which ensure that measurements are made to a high standard and that data are accurately recorded and made available to project staff in a timely manner.

Other technical duties will include:

  • The preparation and routine maintenance of equipment and ensuring that the laboratory, workshop and store areas are kept in good order for use by senior technicians, scientists and engineering staff.
  • Client liaison will also be a key feature of the role. Some UK travel may be required.
