LGC is an international life sciences measurement and testing company, employing over 2,500 people worldwide. Our beautiful site in Fordham, Cambridgeshire has over 350 employees, many are young scientists embarking on their first job in the scientific industry.

We currently have an opportunity for an individual to join our Science Apprenticeship Scheme. This is a three year training position which will allow the successful candidate to develop a wide range of laboratory skills via work experience and “in-house” training.

For 1 day a week educational training will be provided on-site. For the remaining 4 days each week, the successful candidate will work in the laboratories, alongside our scientists. This will enable the candidate to work towards obtaining a level 5 Apprenticeships and potentially a degree in science, without the expense of going to university.

Internal training will be provided on all our procedures and quality systems that apply to the role. For the first year the successful candidate will work within our technician and sample management groups learning about the business and processes.
